Structure in a garden or landscape can be one of the most exciting things about it. It can be the main focus of interest or it can work together with plantings to create a perfect balance of hard and soft materials. We like to use wrought iron, an age old trade, to tie spaces together or provide a spine to a large linear space. Often a wrought iron decorative railing is the backdrop to a foreground of plant textures and colors while lending just enough support to the design to enhance its overall effect. While building code regulations are a priority when designing a functional railing, Terrascapes believes including these details of beauty should be of equal importance. Railings are well worth the added expense!

Wrought Iron Small Decorative Railing (Path View) Custom designed to match an existing balcony railing detail, this two and a half foot high railing (code was not an issue in this instance) was the final touch to the modernized English garden.
-
Retaining Wall with Decorative Wrought Iron Railing Top A classic material combination remains stone and wrought iron. Adding this custom-designed wrought iron railing to this retaining was the final design detail for this garden. Merely decorative, it still endures as a primary element of the design.
